Collette joined Williams College in October 2006. Prior to joining Williams, Collette was President and Chief Investment Officer at Lucent Asset Management Corporation from 1998 to 2006. While at Lucent, Collette was responsible for the investment and oversight of approximately $40 billion in pension and retirement savings assets for the company. From 1996 to 1998, she served as Chief Investment Officer of the $30 billion Pension Reserves Investment Management (“PRIM”) Board, which invests the assets of the public employees’ and teachers’ retirement systems in Massachusetts. She held a similar position with the Massachusetts State Teachers and Employees Retirement Systems (“MASTERS”) Trust from 1993 until PRIM and MASTERS merged in 1996. Prior to 1993, she was in investment banking with the First National Bank of Boston and Citicorp Investment Bank. Collette received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Economy of Natural Resources from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981 and a Masters of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business at Dartmouth College in 1986.
Derek joined the Williams College Investment Office in November 2016. Prior to joining Williams, Derek spent four years at Accolade Partners, a private equity fund of funds, in a Senior Associate role conducting due diligence of venture capital funds, growth equity funds and equity co-investments. Derek began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Financial Instruments, Structured Products and Real Estate group. Derek received a B.B.A in Finance in 2011 from The George Washington University.
Jack joined the Williams Investment Office in July 2016. He received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College in 2016. During his time at Williams, he was a member of the men’s JV soccer team and a part of the Gargoyle Society. He interned at the Investment Office in the summer of 2015.
Sean joined the Williams College Investment Office in October 2016. Prior to joining Williams, Sean spent four years at Cambridge Associates, an investment consulting firm, in a Senior Research Associate role conducting hedge fund manager due diligence and market and industry analyses. Sean began his career working at State Street Global Markets working in strategy and business development. Sean received both a B.S. in Economics and Finance in 2007 and a M.S. in Finance in 2008 from Bentley University, and a Master of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 2016.
Hillary joined the Investment Office in August 2015. She received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College in 2015. During her time at Williams, Hillary played for the women’s lacrosse team. She interned at the Investment Office in the summer of 2014.
Kristin joined Williams College in June 2007. Prior to joining Williams, Kristin was an administrative assistant at Fidelity. Kristin received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley College.
Chris joined the Williams College Investment Office in April 2017. Prior to joining Williams, Chris spent the previous ten years in public accounting at various Boston firms performing audits and preparing tax returns for a variety of industries, including investment companies, family offices, not-for-profits, and municipalities. Chris received a M.S. in Accounting from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College in 2008, and a B.A. in Accounting and a certificate in Latin from St. Anselm College in 2006. Chris is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of CPA’s.
Julia joined Williams College in November 2012. Prior to joining Williams, Julia was a Research Consultant-Private Markets at NEPC, LLC, where she conducted manager research and due diligence, in addition to working with pension and endowment clients on private equity strategies. Prior to NEPC, Julia worked for six years on the Alternatives team at Alcatel-Lucent Investment Management Corporation, most recently as Senior Manager of Private Equity, where she was responsible for managing the day-to day activities of the pension’s $2.5 billion private equity program. She began her professional career in banking, which included such roles as Senior Associate at BancBoston Capital and Vice President at Silicon Valley Bank. Julia received a B.S. in Business Administration from Babson College.
Brad joined Williams College in February 2007. From 2001 to 2007, Brad worked for Lucent Asset Management Corporation (LAMCO) first as its Director of Risk Management and later as its Director of Public Market Investments. LAMCO managed the assets of Lucent’s $33 billion defined benefit plan; $7 billion defined contribution plan; and over $2 billion of other benefit assets. During his time at Lucent, Brad served as a Trustee and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Lucent’s United Kingdom pension plan, a member of the Investment Committee for the Stichting Lucent Technologies Pensioenfonds in the Netherlands and provided general supervision and oversight of Lucent’s other non-US pension plans. From 1992 to 2001, he served as Chief Financial Officer of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management (MassPRIM) Board, the then $32 billion public pension fund. Prior to PRIM, Brad was a practicing CPA. Brad received a BS in Accountancy from Bentley College.
Abigail rejoined Williams College in September 2010 as an Investment Associate. From 2007 to 2008 Abigail worked in the Williams Investment Office in the role of Investment Analyst. Prior to working for Williams, Abigail worked as a Senior Consulting Associate at Cambridge Associates, an investment consulting firm focused on providing investment advice to endowed non-profits. Abigail received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College in 2005 and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 2010.
